Who am I?
I am 42, born in Athens, Greece but I work in the online Travel Industry and travel around, especially from June 2009. It was then that I decided to make a shift in my career; I was working on a big mobile Telecoms company as a Product Manager, in the Marketing Dept. It was a very demanding job, and I liked it very much, but after ten years of staying in the same place, I had to take some decisions about my future, look around and decide where to go after; the mobile Telecoms industry was already very mature and the local companies were suffering the results of a bad financial crisis.
So although I could have a static office in Athens, I don’t; I decided that since my new job interests are online I should keep myself mobile too. So I started to travel around and at the same time do my work. My current job is kind of ‘my own Boss’ thing. I make agreements with holiday villa and hotel owners in Greece and fill bookings for them with travelers online. In return I am gaining a small percentage for every booking.
I have a great house, located in Athens at the sea front. It’s a super place to live, with beautiful views to the Islands of the Saronic Gulf, and it is very close to Athens City Centre.
I lived abroad for nearly ten years, in Britain, where I also studied (Computer studies Honors from Oxford, Engineering Diploma from Birmingham, and Master Degree from the Open University) worked (in Unilever, Procter & Gamble, British Airways) and acquired the British Citizenship.
I like exercise, jazz, cooking and DIY.
